Healthy Alternative: Cinnamon Hot Chocolate

The winter started, and the cold weather is hitting us. It keeps getting colder and colder everyday. Hence, we created an healthy alternative to a yummy classic: the Hot Chocolate.

Follow the simple recipe below for one serving, and let us know what you think in the comments below!

You’ll need (1 serving):
1 cup (plus 1 or 2 extra tablespoon) of almond milk
2 rounded teaspoons unsweetened cocoa powder
1 teaspoon raw sugar
¼ teaspoon vanilla extract
cinnamon

Directions:

  1. Place milk in a small pot over medium-low heat.
  2. Meanwhile, place cocoa powder, sugar, and extra tablespoon of almond milk in a small bowl. Whisk until a paste/thick mixture forms and powder is absorbed. Add additional tablespoon of almond milk, if needed.
  3. Whisk cocoa mixture into milk mixture. Heat till hot but not boiling. Stir in vanilla extract.
  4. Pour into a mug and add with cinnamon.
  5. Voila!
